I am here to talk about how it seems that the MMORPG Club Penguin has been...edited, somehow. There has been more attention on games, dressing up, and membership than socialising, working together for badges, and friendship. Back in the early days of Club Penguin, a Non-Member could make friends with a Member no-problem. But now there is a big divide between the members and non-members.
And the games and parties! The disco is now so "Powered Up" that when thirty penguins danced together, one penguin said 'My computer almost froze.' . That's word for word. And also, the bigger and better they make their parties, the more Member-only stuff their is. And the more member-only stuff there is, the more non-members feel pressured. And the more they feel pressured, they begin to enjoy the game less and less.
It is also harder to get friends together for an Iceberg Party or Swimming Pool Party. Everybody has their own Agenda. Nobody wants to mix with anyone else. Everybody just wants to play games, get money, and buy things. No room for Snowball Fights, I guess.
Even all the stuff in the Dojo Ninja-Only area can't be bought by non-members, except after the 2012 Ninjitsu party, so non-members can now get the amulet. But all the really cool stuff is member-only. Aaagh! Takes the fun out of being a Ninja. Also, you can't play hide and seek anymore, because nobody wishes to play with anyone. They just want Stamps and Coins.
So, my opinion on club penguin:
Socialising: 2/10 almost non-existant.
MiniGames: 9/10 Good, but sometimes there is a lack of difficulty, or too much difficulty.
Overall Game: 7/10 it has lost its original edge. It used to be 10/10. But now it is no fun if you want to socialise.
Now, just don't get me started on AdventureQuest...Boy, that game was terrible...
